Did you know? There are a myriad of ways to put Vocational Service into Action. Here are some examples from around the globe:

Members of a Rotary club in Japan partnered with a nonprofit to offer Japanese-language classes, educational lectures, and internships to foreign youths in their city. The goal was to help the young people adapt to Japanese culture and explore career opportunities.
Members of the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group, who work in many related professions, partnered with the World Wildlife Fund India, the Indian government (including the water department), and more than 80 Rotary clubs in District 3203 to restore the Bhavani River.
A Rotary member in the United States, who is the founder and chief executive of a game development company, co-created a game that promotes media literacy, helping 11- to 13-year-olds critically assess news and information on social media. The game's approach was inspired partly by The Four-Way Test.

Happy Monday, everyone! What a meaningful weekend we had with our Hygiene Drive alongside Tri-Lakes Cares last week. It was wonderful to see our community coming together to support our community. Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make it happen—you truly made a difference.

February is Rotary International’s Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Month, a reminder of Rotary’s focus on addressing the root causes of conflict like poverty, inequality, and lack of access to education. February 23 is World Understanding and Peace Day, marking the anniversary of the first Rotary meeting and celebrating international friendship and peace. Peacebuilding often starts small—by showing up, caring, and serving others, just like you did this weekend.

While this event is free to attend, we are suggesting a $25+ donation per player, with proceeds benefiting Heart of Monument Play Park. Tickets reserve your seat, and donations are suggested ($25+ per person) but not required. This meaningful project will support community members of all ages and abilities, and it's an excellent opportunity for our club to amplify our impact through collaboration.

Math Tutoring at the Library in Need of Volunteers: Interested in helping out? See Steve to volunteer as a tutor. Student attendance has increased, especially after the past two weeks of conferences and follow-up meetings with parents following their discussions with their math teachers.

🕙 Time: Morning Shift: 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
📍 Sand Creek Build Site (The Ridge at Sand Creek 868 Bidwell Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80915)

Join us for a day of making a tangible difference in our community while enjoying fun and fellowship! Volunteers build 90% of every Pikes Peak Habitat home. Registration closes 1 day before the event! Volunteers must be 16+; ages 16-17 must bring a signed paper liability waiver from a parent/guardian.

Please arrive by the scheduled shift start time. A mandatory orientation and safety briefing will take place before work begins.
