PPARE Dictionary/Reading Project

PPARE Dictionary/Reading Project Update:

Rotary clubs have traditionally distributed dictionaries annually to local elementary schools. The PPARE has suggested purchasing easy reader books, which would allow each student to keep a book, or books could be added to teachers' or non-profit libraries. The final decision was to allocate funds to each club (amounting to approximately $625) so that each club could decide whether to continue providing dictionaries or switch to books. Anna needs to report back to the PPARE at its April meeting whether our club wants to participate in 2027. We will have the allocated funds; however, we can also contribute more funds to purchase extra sets. Please consider what you, as an individual, would prefer and bring this to the discussion to our next in-person meeting.

We are still short one PPARE board member for our club! This is an easy commitment (1 meeting per quarter). If you are interested, please get in touch with Anna Fish.
