Did you Know? Rotary International prioritizes peacebuilding through seven specialized Peace Centers worldwide, training over 1,800 fellows from 140+ countries in conflict resolution since 2002. As a key area of focus, Rotary fosters positive peace by addressing the underlying causes of conflict—such as poverty, sanitation, and education—through community-driven projects, impacting thousands annually.

Happy Monday, everyone! What a meaningful weekend we had with our Hygiene Drive alongside Tri-Lakes Cares last week. It was wonderful to see our community coming together to support our community. Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make it happen—you truly made a difference.

February is Rotary International’s Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Month, a reminder of Rotary’s focus on addressing the root causes of conflict like poverty, inequality, and lack of access to education. February 23 is World Understanding and Peace Day, marking the anniversary of the first Rotary meeting and celebrating international friendship and peace. Peacebuilding often starts small—by showing up, caring, and serving others, just like you did this weekend.

Just giving you a heads-up on the calendar coming up—lots of great ways to connect, serve, and have fun together!

Super Bowl LX Party at the Qureshi's!

Come join us for a Club Social and some SUPER fun at the Qureshi's Super Bowl LX Party!

📅 Date: Sunday, February 8th, 2026
🕙 Time: 3:30 p.m. with Kick Off starting at 4:30 p.m.

📍 Location: Khurshid and Gloria Qureshi's Home (16407 Corkbark Terrace, Monument)

The Qureshi's will arrange for sliders and tostadas with hamburger meat and pico de gallo. They will also provide regular and diet soft drinks.
They request that you abstain from bringing alcohol and pork-based products.

But please bring a game-day appetizer and toss a coin for a heads-up dessert.

Come watch the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots battle it out on the field!

Math at the Library

Math Tutoring at the Library in Need of Volunteers: Interested in helping out? See Steve to volunteer as a tutor. Student attendance has increased, especially after the past two weeks of conferences and follow-up meetings with parents following their discussions with their math teachers.

🕙 Time: Morning Shift: 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
📍 Sand Creek Build Site (The Ridge at Sand Creek 868 Bidwell Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80915)

Join us for a day of making a tangible difference in our community while enjoying fun and fellowship! Volunteers build 90% of every Pikes Peak Habitat home. Help Habitat for Humanity by volunteering—Register using the following link: https://www.cervistech.com/acts/console.php?console_id=0364&console_type=event_list&event_id=26&ht=1&res_code=TriLakeRotary

Registration closes 1 day before the event! Volunteers must be 16+; ages 16-17 must bring a signed paper liability waiver from a parent/guardian.

Once registered, volunteers will receive a confirmation email and complete their required liability waiver.
No construction experience required.

Arrival and Orientation

Please arrive by the scheduled shift start time. A mandatory orientation and safety briefing will take place before work begins.
Site address: 868 Bidwell Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80915. To avoid overwhelming the neighborhood, please park on Babcock Road rather than Bidwell Street.
