March 2023 RAD- Mardi Gras Night Sponsored by TLDRC

Tri-Lakes Dynamic Rotary Club sponsors RAD nights these past few months. The most current RAD night was a Mardi Gras theme which included food, sweets, beads, sports, Float making, & Mardi Gras mask Crafts. RAD (Ridge Against Drugs) is a program that was initiated by Brandon Pappas, a student at Palmer Ridge High School in Colorado, with the aim of changing the culture of drugs and alcohol that is prevalent in many high schools across the country. The program focuses on educating students about the dangers of substance abuse and encouraging them to make healthy choices. Brandon Pappas started the program after he saw firsthand the negative impact that drugs and alcohol had on his peers. He realized that many students were unaware of the consequences of their actions and decided to take action to change the possible choices high schoolers may make in order to have fun. https://ppymca.org/programs/youth/teens/rad-program
