Subject: No Zoom This Week – Rotary Year Kickoff & Upcoming Events

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re having a wonderful week!

Steve and I just got back from the 2025 Rotary International Convention, and it was an incredible experience—everything Rotary! From fellowship and learning to making new friends and witnessing inspiring projects happening around the world, it truly opened our eyes.

We proudly represented our small-town Tri-Lakes Dynamic Rotary Club by chatting, networking, trading banners, business cards, and hopefully making long-term connections in fellowship and friendship. We thought of each of you as we collected flyers, cards, photos, and information while exploring the House of Friendship, which showcased Rotary’s global impact across all its areas of focus.

We’ll have plenty to share with you all soon, of course. :)

Today is July 1st, which means we’re officially kicking off the 2025–2026 Rotary year! I hope you're soaking in the summer season and finding moments of rest, connection, and a little fun along the way.

I also wanted to let you know that this Thursday’s Zoom meeting (July 3) will be canceled. With the 4th of July holiday and many people traveling or unavailable, it felt best to pause for the week. Happy 4th of July!

That said—there are some key things we were going to discuss at the meeting, so here they are. These are the main topics we planned to cover to kick off the new Rotary year:

1. July 12 – Changeover Dinner
We’re just days away from our annual Changeover Dinner at the Eisenhower USAFA Golf Club!

This is going to be a fun and meaningful night, and we’ll be joined by our new District Governor, Maile Foster, along with other special guests.

Please buy your tickets now so our incredible planning committee—Nicole, Shannon, and Laurie—can work their magic. They need to get the final headcount in by the end of this weekend, so don’t wait!

Bring your spouse, kids, friends, potential members—everyone’s welcome. It’s a great way to introduce others to the heart of Rotary.

2. September 7 – Palmer Paddle Fundraiser
This is one of our biggest and most exciting community events—and it’s going to take all of us to pull it off.

We’re asking every member to bring in at least two sponsors and let Alisha and her team know. Sponsorships are vital to our club’s success and impact.

Not planning to paddle? No problem. You can:

Buy a ticket

Donate funds

Volunteer your time or talents

There’s a way for everyone to get involved and contribute your own Rotary “superpower.”

3. Upcoming Dates to Remember (see weekly roundup letter for more info)

July 12 – Changeover Dinner

July 17 – In-person Club Meeting

July 25–27 – Women in the Rockies Conference

August 2 – Hygiene Drive

September 7 – Palmer Paddle

Thank you again for being part of this amazing club. Every bit of energy you bring helps us grow and thrive.

Best Regards,

Maryam Eaton
