The 2024-2025 District Conference in Grand Junction, Colorado, was filled with great speakers, excellent information, and fellowship. We (Katie Lenger and Brenda Small) enjoyed learning about upcoming district and Rotary International events while reconnecting with many Rotarian friends
At our last meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dan Edward from the Palmer Lake Historical Society as our wonderful guest speaker.

We also heard from Scott Ross from Kiwanis, who shared the exciting details of their upcoming Empty Bowl and Silent Auction event supporting Tri-Lakes Cares, happening on October 3rd from 5:00 - 7:30 PM at Lewis-Palmer High School.

Our TLDRC ladies strut their stuff at the as guest speakers, participants, vendors, and boosting sales for our club's 2nd Annual Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser! Topics covered: communications, connecting with other service-minded women, enjoying a sip and paint session, and exploring how to use natural skills to empower service. We had an incredible time celebrating the achievements of 2023-2024 and expressing our gratitude to President Owen Schoolsky and the board for their outstanding leadership of the Tri-Lakes Dynamic Rotary Club. The evening was filled with excitement as we welcomed our new President, Brenda Small, and introduced the dynamic new board for 2024-2025. Held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Biaggi's in Colorado Springs, the night was full of fun, fellowship, festivities, and the magic of Rotary. Nicole Schoolsky was honored as Rotarian of the Year, and President Brenda inducted Rob as the newest member of our club as her first official act. We were also delighted to be joined by special guests: Brenda's family, RI 5470 District Governor Whitney Smythe-Smith, Tarah King,  Becky Kiser and her husband, Greg Sund, and Monument Hill Kiwanis member RF. It was truly a magical night.
Happy 4th of July from Monument, Colorado—home to the biggest small-town parade in the US! The Tri-Lakes Dynamic Rotary Club was in full swing, networking and selling “chances” for the upcoming 2nd Annual Golf Ball Drop on September 7th, 2024 for the Heart of Monument Play Park Event. Families had a blast with golf ball toss games and learning about what our local Rotary club has been doing in our communities. Teaming up with Kiwanis to help build a community play park area for everyone. (Photo on right: Monument Kiwanis Pres. Scott and Tri-Lakes Dynamic Rotary Club's Pres. Brenda Small)

Great Valentine’s Day with the seniors decorating cookies and cupcakes at Bethesda Gardens and Jackson Creek Senior Living all while spreading love and joy 💕 . We even got to see Elvis perform at BG. Big shoutout and THANK YOU to American Pie Bakery (www.americanpiecolorado.com) for donating the cookies for our special day with the residents! They loved how cute and yummy they were!

The scholarship program was initiated by Tri-Lakes Dynamic Rotary Club in 2024 when the Club decided to offer a scholarship to three deserving D38 high school graduating seniors; (Palmer Ridge High School, Lewis-Palmer High School, Monument Academy, & Homeschoolers).  These students must be attending a postsecondary institution - trade school, community college, university, or another education pursuit.

The deadline for 2024 applications is April 15, 2024.

On February 8, 2024, the Rotary Club of Puerto Vallarta presented the bus keys. The next day, they handed over a van/bus to the school an provided us with the opportunity to meet some of the school staff and morning shift students via Zoom. Khurshid Qureshi (Tri-Lakes)  gave a brief tour of the school facilities. This van was purchased with contributions from Tri-Lakes Dynamic Rotary, Broadmoor Rotary, and the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs. An attachment with signage for the van is included. Thank you all. Additionally, books and school supplies were donated to the students.
